1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon sea salt
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Mix everything together and drop about 1/4 cup of batter at a time onto a griddle. Cook 1-2 minutes then flip. I add the chocolate chips while they are on the griddle instead of to the batter.
Serve with real maple syrup.

These were great! At first the batter looked really thin, but it thickened up after a minute or 2.
